Patrick Danahy is a designer, educator, and researcher working at the intersection of computation, robotics, and spatial systems. Currently a Lecturer and the Emerging Scholar in Design at the University of Texas at Austin, his work explores how machine learning can guide, reinterpret, and reshape architectural and spatial design processes.
He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also taught in the MSD–Robotics and Autonomous Systems program. In 2022, he was appointed Distinguished Professor for an Advanced Design Studio at Texas A&M University and served as the Design Innovation Fellow at Ball State University.
Patrick has led workshops and lectured on digital design technologies at institutions such as ACADIA, UCL Bartlett, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Pennsylvania. His research has been featured at leading international conferences including ACADIA, ICRA, SIGraDi, CAADRIA, and DigitalFUTURES. His design work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, Pratt Institute, and other academic and cultural institutions.
