M. Casey Rehm is a leading voice in computational design, operating at the forefront of architecture and artificial intelligence. Based in Los Angeles, he is a designer, researcher, and educator whose work explores the integration of machine learning, intelligent systems, and software platforms into architectural design and broader cultural production.
He currently serves as the Coordinator of the MS in Architectural Technologies program and Faculty Director of the Platforms and Automation Lab at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). There, he leads critical investigations into questions of authorship, agency, and automation in design.
Casey’s work has been exhibited internationally at institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, FRAC Orléans, the Pola Annex Ginza in Tokyo, and the Art Institute of Chicago. His research has received significant recognition and support, including two awards from the Google Artists and Machine Intelligence initiative, affirming his role as a pioneer in the field.
