This work is based on the findings of discrete design strategies and the developments in the field of voxel-based design methods. The design principle of a discrete component that is aggregated into a complex assembly with the help of various algorithms is used. The aggregated assemblies are made of steel and machined using the Biorock technology to enhance the functionality of the individual components. The Biorock technology is an electrolytically induced accretion of minerals that dissolve in seawater to steel structures. The generated electrical fields generated by the seawater electrolysis lead to astonishing biological effects. There is an increase in settlement, growth, survival and resistance of almost all marine organisms to environmental stresses. To capitalise on the strengths of the different approaches, a process is defined, that represents the different demands of the structure on the underwater environment. By means of different mapping methods, different zones inside and outside the lagoon of Venice are shown and processed.
